Leah's Faith

As you can tell from my blog's title, I am a member of the Catholic Church. It is one of the oldest and largest Christian denominations in the world, with over a billion members. It was founded by Jesus Christ, but continued on after his ascension into Heaven with the Apostle Peter, who was also the first pope. Today, Pope Benedict XVI is the leader of the Church, residing in Vatican City in Rome.

I was baptized into the Church when I was a month old, and received the sacraments of the Eucharist and Confirmation at ages 9 and 15. It continues to be such an inspiration to me, with a sense of unity among all of us.

There is so much that goes into Catholicism that I would end up writing a novel on the subject. So, if you have any more questions about the Church, just comment below and I will try my best to answer them.
